Very Good+ First Edition in mildly soiled Original sail cloth hardback binding with yapp edges. Original leather label 'Lucky Bag 1904' on the cover. Hinges archivally and unobtrusively repaired. Minimal soil pages. The yearbook follows the usual pattern of one page per senior with a photograph and brief biography. Group photographs, faculty lists and ads at the rear complement the senior roll. Among the members of this class are William "Bull" Halsey, Jr., Commander of allied forces in the South Pacific in World War II. Husband E. Kimmel, Commander in Chief of the the U. S. Pacific Fleet when the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor. Oblong, 8"x10.5". 234, xxvi {ads} pp.
The Lucky Bag as a formal yearbook was first published by the class of 1894. Hence this is the eleventh volume. The Lucky Bag predates the West Point 'Howitzer' and so is the oldest formal military academy yearbook. Issues from this period, especially in such nice condition are Rare.
