William Woodville (1752-1805), a London physician, was elected a member of the Linnean Society in 1791. The current work, Medical Botany, and his research on smallpox vaccination, first separately and then in support of Edward Jenner, were his major contributions to science. The current work is quite scarce and so this handsome text volume is offered despite the absence of the botanical plates. Price:
